Arts After School

WLA Drama Club

Thursdays after school – 2nd to 8th grades – $99
Taught by Dayna Railton, Artistic Director of The Play’s The Thing Children’s Theater Company
Kids work together to bring a play to life in a fun-filled setting.  We will learn the basic vocabulary of theater, memorize lines, and put on a short performance for a small audience of parents and invited guests.

3:50-4:00 p.m.– snack for the first 10 minutes (bring a snack and water bottle)
4-5:15 p.m. – theater games, dramatic arts training, script work
Term ending in a performance of an abbreviated play for invited audience

February 22, 29, March 14, 21, 28 (No Drama Club March 6), April 4, 11, 18, 25, May 1, 2 (note additional final rehearsal May 1)

Final performance May 2, 4:15-4:45 p.m. for parents.
